NEW Eco-Floristry Mini Retreat
Thurs 6th May 10am Join Suzy to learn new skills designed to make floral treats planet friendly
Course Description
Suzy has spent the last 10 years producing floral designs for every occasion using methods with sustainably front and foremost. Keen to pass this knowledge on, this new course will demonstrate methods she has perfected along the way. The day will start with coffee and maybe a bicky or two and a tour of the cutting garden, looking at what is growing and discussing the varieties Suzy chooses for her work, how she packs so much in and the best way to obtain a great vase life. Then you’ll move into the garden studio where Suzy will demonstrate how to create a flat floral spray, vintage vase arrangement, and meadow block. All using eco-floristry techniques which are transferrable to many other designs and flowers/foliage from the garden. A lite lunch will follow - either in the garden or summer house, weather dependant! Then it is back to the studio where you will make one of the designs demonstrated, adding your style and flair using flowers you have cut from the garden. You will be able to take this home to enjoy.* This course is designed for all skills levels, from total beginners, home florists and experienced florists looking to more away from floral foam use in their work. * if you choose to make a vintage vase to take home, there is an additional charge for a vase of your choice. There are plenty to choose from!
