Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of seasonal flowers with Suzy's amazing cutting garden courses! Spend a few hours immersed in hands-on learning and skill development amidst the beautiful surroundings of the cutting garden in Northamptonshire. Learn from Suzy's tips and tricks she has picked up over the last 9 years of cut flower growing.
These fun-filled workshops are intimate, with just 6-8 participants, ensuring a personalised experience. You’ll leave with something wonderful, whether it’s a tray of seeds you've sown or a stunning floral arrangement you've created!
Each course stands alone, so feel to join us for one or dive into them all!
Happening on various Saturdays throughout the season from 10 am to noon, each session includes a delightful tour of the cutting garden and is perfect for all skill levels. Don’t miss out on spending some quality time with like minded green fingered friends.
1st March - Cut Flower Patch Planning and Sowing Hardy Annuals SOLD OUT
Learn: It can be mind boggling when you look at all the wonderful seed catalogs out there. Suzy will help simplify the process, covering the best flowers for cutting, when to sow and how to grow enough for your home. We will use the art of soil blocking to cut down on plastic seed trays.

22nd March - Vintage Kokedama Arrangement
Learn: to make an arrangement using the Japanese art of Kokedama. Suzy will show you how she uses this ancient method to create a beautiful spring floral decoration, combined with vintage china.

12th April - Easter Bulb Wreath
Learn: to make a spring willow bulb wreath using Culworth grown willow to create a base for spring bulbs and foliage. We'll craft a beautiful seasonal door decoration to welcome visitors to your home over Easter.

17th May - Cut Your Own Spring Posy
Learn: how to cut and condition flowers and arrange a posy. Suzy will teach you how to cut and condition flowers from the cutting garden to achieve the best vase life, before showing you how to make a stunning posy. You will cut your own choice of blooms from the garden to make into your own pretty spring posy.

7th June - Summer Flower Meadow Arrangement
Learn: eco floristry techniques to make a summer meadow display using chicken wire and moss. Suzy will also explain the best practices for cutting and conditioning flowers from the garden.

21st June - Solstice Sowing Biennial Beauties
Learn: how to use soil blockers to sow Sweet Williams, Foxgloves and Wallflowers. Join Suzy to celebrate the Solstice in the garden. This is the best time to get those early flowering blooms growing ready for 2026!

19th July - Cut Your Own Summer Posy
Learn: how to cut and condition flowers and arrange a posy. This course runs the same as May's but this time with beautiful summer blooms.

9th August & 6th September - Dahlia Mania!
Learn: how to grow the best dahlias for cutting. Suzy’s secrets for the best blooms will be followed by a demo of an arrangement with dahlias as the stars. You'll cut a jar full of your choice of dahlias, following Suzy's technique for the best way to cut and condition flowers.

4th October- Autumn Floral Heart
Learn: how to make a beautiful hanging willow heart decorated with seasonal berries, seed heads, dried flowers and foliage.

Learn: Suzy will show you how to use a pumpkin to create a beautiful seasonal table centre piece. We will cover the art of cutting and conditioning flowers too.
